OVER ONS

ABOUT US

We, Roland & Pascale from Belgium, have been the proud owners of this holiday home in the beautiful Lot department for several years now.

Moulin de Lalande is not just a holiday home, it is our second home, a place to relax and enjoy all the good things that the environment, nature, lovely villages, friendly people and good food and drink offer . With great passion we transformed this house into a gem with every conceivable comfort and attractive interior. We hope you will enjoy our house, garden and pool as much as we do!

HET HUIS

THE HOUSE

Hidden in the slope of a valley on a babbling brook, "le Ruisseau de Saint-Martré" and surrounded by the vineyards of the Cahors, lies the natural stone house "Moulin de Lalande". This detached house is located on the border of 3 departments; Lot, Dordogne, Lot-et-Garonne and is also on the border of the regions of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie.
The authentic house (150m²) dates from the 19th century with the traditional thick walls, "Pierres blancs de Quercy" and old wooden beamed ceilings, is furnished with a contemporary touch and comfort (Wi-Fi, Satellite TV). The house has space for max. 6 people with a garden of 2,200m² where the children and dogs can romp, play in the river behind the garden or enjoy the hammock in the shade of the trees. Don't forget to admire the beautiful starry sky.
The house, which is about 150 years old, has been completely restored and equipped with all modern comforts. You walk into the house from the terrace and you will find the open kitchen that is equipped with cooking utensils for a real kitchen prince (ess), with fridge / freezer, dishwasher, gas stove (5 burners) with oven, Nespresso coffee machine and classic coffee maker, kettle, microwave oven, mixer, etc.. Here you will also find the dining area with table, 6 chairs, Tripp Trapp high chair and a storage room with washing machine and toilet. You also enter the living room with sitting area, wood stove and satellite TV (WIFI, TV Vlaanderen, French TV channels). Via the stairs you reach the hall with 2 bedrooms with a double bed (box spring) and the bathroom with sink, shower and toilet. Another staircase higher you will find the third bedroom with 2 single beds (box spring) that can be placed together to 1 double bed.
The private swimming pool (8 x 4 m) with beautiful wooden terrace all around (new since 2017) and outdoor shower is located near the southwest-facing sun terrace with table, chairs, sun loungers, parasols and a BBQ. From there you have a beautiful view of the surrounding forests and fields without direct neighbors and in complete privacy.
No large-scale tourist activity here, but keywords such as nature, peace, space, silence, authenticity and conviviality.
